Cyprus is an island with many archeological treasures. It offers many different places to be explored which have been buried in the soil for centuries. It is an amazing opportunity for the visitors to ramble over these sites and have the feeling of living like the inhabitants used to live.

Curium :
Curium (Kourion in Greek) was one of the old Kingdoms of Cyprus. Remains of it’s various settlements include houses with superb mosaics, theaters which stand high up on the cliffs overlooking the blue Mediterranean Sea. This ancient theater is the setting for many spectacular music concerts and dramatic performances in the summer months.

Sanctuary of Apollo:
Apollo(God of the Woodland) was worshipped here from the 8th century BC. The buildings were destroyed by earthquakes many years ago but you can still see the small temple and the beautiful columns.

Colossi Castle:
Not far from Curium is Colossi Castle which is an impressive 15th century castle with 3m thick walls. Colossi Castle was built by the Knights of St.John of Jerusalem to be used as their headquarters.

Ancient Amathus:
Eight kilometers east of Limassol-Colossi Castle, stands the marvelous site of Ancient Amathus that was extremely important in the ancient world and today is the setting for a wide variety of cultural events.

Khirokita Neothilic Ruins:
Beyond Amathus you will find the famous Neolithic ruins of Khirokitia dating from the 7th century BC and definitely the oldest settlements in Cyprus.
